Key Duties and Responsibilities

1.Assist in the construction and management of the school's high-performance computing center.

2.Responsible for software and hardware procurement, contributing and managing in-house IT applications and AI systems;

3.Handle daily IT-related affairs between the school and ITSO;

4.Building and managing the computer rooms, network, IT infrastructure and system;

5.Administering Linux servers, network equipment and firewall;

6.Providing technical support to staff and students;

7.Undertaking other tasks as assigned by the supervisor School Admin Director.

 

Qualifications:

1.A Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines;

2.At least 5 years’ post-qualification relevant experience;

3.The willingness to learn new technologies;

4.Solid experience in networking, such as switch, VPN server and firewall;

5.Hands-on experience in setting up and maintaining Linux servers; and good organizational and communication skills.

6.Experience in cloud administration and high-performance cluster management (e.g. Slurm) will be an advantage.

 

Salary and Benefits

Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
