Post Specification
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the appointment management, daily maintenance, and user training of valuable equipment (including but not limited to mass spectrometers and microscopes) on the School of Medicine's instrument sharing platform;
2. Develop operating procedures for large instruments under management, formulate and implement fee standards, and be responsible for the collation, verification, and summarization of shared usage fees;
3. Regularly collate, statistically analyze, and report on the operating hours/usage statistics and relevant scientific research output data of the managed equipment;
4. Assist researchers in the development and optimization of mass spectrometry testing methods, and be responsible for the operation of mass spectrometers and data analysis;
5. Responsible for procurement, fee collection, and safety-related matters for the shared equipment platform, and assist in handling other daily laboratory affairs;
6. Complete other tasks assigned by superiors.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Postgraduate degree or above;
2. Possess a background in biology, medicine, chemistry, or related disciplines, coupled with several years of laboratory work experience;
3. Demonstrate extensive experience working with large equipment platforms, with expertise in the operation and maintenance of mass spectrometers, microscopes, real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR, and similar advanced instrumentation;
4. Exhibit a strong sense of responsibility and service-oriented attitude;
5. Possess the initiative and capability to learn and manage new equipment;
6. Able to independently troubleshoot common issues related to laboratory operations and equipment.
Salary and Benefits
Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
