Post Specification

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Leading and participating one-on-one counseling on students’ career planning;

2. Assisting in organizing or coordinating career workshops, industry information sessions, company visits and internships;

3. To effectively support a proactive student body through providing regular development coaching and consulting in graduate study guidance, application support, including but not limited to: one-on-one coach and counselling, postgraduate / Ph.D. program selection strategy, Personal Statement Writing skills, Application timeline and Skills, updated program info sharing;

4. Plan, initiate and organize (to deliver when needed) skills training workshops including identifying, sourcing and evaluating international education programs, and to coordinate program introduction and visits as well as other relevant events organized;

5. Provide administrative and Ad-hoc support to the school, faculty and student affairs as requested;

6. Undertake other duties assigned by the leaders.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Master or above degree;

2. Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);

3. The capability of multi-tasking and sense of urgency and strong pressure resistance;

4. Good team player with strong organizational planning and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits

Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
