Oamul was born in Fujian in 1988 and now lives and works in Shanghai. He is a contemporary young artist acclaimed for his highly distinctive voice. Through a warm and healing visual language, he constructs poetic narratives within contemporary art. His practice spans painting, sculpture, and moving images, capturing fragments of daily life, glimpses from journeys, and folds of memory. Infused with natural luminosity and humanistic reflection, his brushwork conveys emotions with ease and clarity, forming a uniquely personal expression.

In recent years, Oamul has continued to expand the boundaries of his art. He was invited to serve as a jury member at the China Taipei Illustration Fair, and has collaborated extensively with international brands including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Prada. He also designed stamps for the United Nations Postal Administration’s Education First stamp series, bringing an artistic lens to soften the solemnity of the theme of education.

Oamul has published personal picture books, including Travelling through the Seasons, When the Moon Rises from the Window, I found a star and Hulibo.

Meeting Intellectuals in the Spring Hills

"Meeting Intellectuals in the Spring Hills" is one of the University's lecture series where the University will invite social elites in such fields as culture and arts to share with our students in form of salon or lecture to promote a discussion of thought-provoking issues or soul-searching experiences. During the lectures, everyone will have a chance to listen and respond on their world views, their aspirations, and intellectual taste in life.
